Sarina Cinco Lumapas, M.D.
I acquired my residency from Howard University Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was the first recipient of the Certificate of Appreciation for dedication, outstanding service and caring attention to patients from the Division of Maternal and Child Health. While performing my residency at Howard University Hospital, I was a member of the educational committee for three years. I am a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to my residency at Howard University Hospital, I also finished my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital in the Philippines, where I was the Chief Resident. This is the same university where I acquired my diploma in Medicine and was ranked number nine among the graduates. Moreover, I was the group leader during clerkship and internship. After graduating from the College of Medicine, I was employed as Medical Officer III of the Northern Samar Provincial Hospital in Catarman, Northern Samar, Philippines. I then established my own clinic for two years prior to pursuing my residency in the United States of America.
I am married to Edwin Lumapas, an Occupational Therapist, and, together, we enjoy spending time with our two sons watching movies at home and enjoying my home cooked meals. My husband and I keep an active lifestyle by playing tennis aside from having fun with our sons.
